‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ character posters revealed

Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey, with Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. The cast is led by Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, with Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, and Orlando Bloom.

“The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies” concludes the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves after they have reclaimed their home from the dragon Smaug. Yet in the process, they have unleashed a deadly force in the world. Smaug in turn unleashed his wrath upon the residents of Lake-town.

Meanwhile, unknown to many, the enemy Sauron has unleashed the Orcs to destroy the Lonely Mountain.

Bilbo fights for his life and the lives of his friends in the Battle of the Five Armies, where the future of Middle-earth hangs on the balance.
