Regal Films producer Lily Monteverde found a new pet project in her spiffy party place, 38 Valencia Events Place.
Mother Lily, as she is known in the biz, opened the events venue “because I always want to keep myself busy…After my major surgery last year, I feel as if this is the beginning of a new chapter for me.”
Of course, she was among the first to hold a bash, celebrating her 75th birth anniversary, at the place in August.
The party was attended by movers and shakers, not only in the entertainment industry, but also in the political scene—Rep. Imelda Marcos, Sen.
Grace Poe-Llamanzares and mom Susan Roces, former beauty queen Gemma Cruz-Araneta, Rep. Lani Mercado, Marichu Maceda, Sen. Loren Legarda, Charo Santos-Concio, German Moreno, Marian Rivera, among others.
Other parties held at the place were the birth anniversary celebrations of Iza Calzado and Dolly Anne Carvajal.
Last Saturday, a benefit concert for the Red Cross Quezon City Chapter, dubbed “Blood Samaritan,” was held at Valencia. Among the performers were Jose Mari Chan, Celeste Legaspi, Ryan Cayabyab, Raul Sunico, George Yang, Rachel Alejandro, Cris Villonco and Lovi Poe.
Mother Lily also played three songs on the piano.
This weekend, filmmaker Jose Javier Reyes will celebrate his 60th birth anniversary at Valencia. Bayani San Diego Jr.
