Jao Mapa’s art opens Oct 16

Actor Jao Mapa’s latest exhibit will open on Oct. 16 at the Globe Hub Serviced Offices, Inc., 6784 Ayala Ave. corner VA Rufino St., Makati City.

A Fine Arts graduate from the University of Santo Tomas, Mapa describes his style as “figurative expressionism,” heavily influenced by comic-book heroes and editorial cartoons.

His paintings tell different stories—mostly urban, everyday scenes bursting with colors.

Titled “Jao Mapa the Artist,” the exhibit will run for a month.
