MANILA, Philippines—Following their failure to agree on a child support scheme, actor Derek Ramsay and his estranged wife are back on the warpath.

Mary Christine Jolly reopened an old wound and filed a complaint for concubinage against him and his former girlfriend, actress Angelica Panganiban, on Wednesday in the Parañaque City prosecutor’s office.

Assisted by lawyer Argee Guevara, Jolly said she had “overwhelming evidence” that Ramsay and Panganiban “cohabited” in Marina Heights Subdivision in Sucat for five years “despite knowledge’’ that her 2002 marriage to Ramsay was still binding.

She cited an article written by Carlo Arcangel in the April 2013 edition of Star Studio magazine, which she said she “came across and read just a few days ago.” The article, copies of which were shown to reporters, supposedly narrated the ups and downs of Ramsay and Panganiban’s relationship.

Jolly alleged that Derek had suggested to Panganiban that they live together “and transform their relationship into a setup just like that of husband and wife.”

Guevara argued that Panganiban had knowledge of the marriage—an element of concubinage—based on Arcangel’s write-up.

Jolly said the respondents also “shamelessly admitted before the public that they cohabited for several years and traveled together in various parts of the country and the world.”

“It cannot be denied that the respondents are guilty of concubinage. I hereby execute this complaint-affidavit to attest to the truthfulness and correctness of the foregoing facts and for the purpose of charging the respondents with concubinage,” she said.

Jolly earlier sued Ramsay for violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act in a bid to pressure him into providing financial support for their 11-year-old son, who she said is now based in Dubai. A settlement was reported to be in the works last month but failed to materialize due to their continuing differences. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
