Spinster sisters

MANILA, Philippines—Gina Pareño and Helen Gamboa will play Nick Joaquin’s famous spinster sisters, Candida and Paula Marasigan, in the latest staging of “Larawan.” Pareño will tentatively play Candida; Gamboa, Paula; and Noni Buencamino, Tony Javier in the Tanghalang Pilipino production calendared in February 2012. Gamboa and Pareño last shared the small screen in the ABS-CBN soap opera, “Tayong Dalawa,” two years ago. Bayani San Diego Jr.
