Two Filipino independent films are participating in two festivals. Sheron Dayoc’s “Halaw (Ways of the Sea)” will be screened in the World Cinema section of the 47th Chicago International Film Festival, running in the US city from Oct. 6 to 20. Ferdinand John Balanag’s documentary “Walking the Waking Journey” will be shown at the Lucerne International Film Festival to be held in Switzerland from Oct. 19 to 23. Bayani San Diego Jr.
