PH film ‘Rekorder’ wins in South Korea

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino filmmaker Mikhail Red wins the Excellent Asia-Pacific Young Director Award for “Rekorder” at the Gwangju International Film Festival held recently in South Korea, the film’s producer Pamela Reyes told the INQUIRER on Tuesday.

“Rekorder” was an entry in last year’s Cinemalaya.

It is topbilled by Ronnie Quizon, who won the El Rey Award for Excellence in a Lead Role in this year’s Barcelona International Film Festival.

FEATURED STORIES

“Rekorder” also won the Special Jury Prize and Best Music award at the 31st Annonay (Southern France) International First Film Festival held in February this year.
