Eigenmann children show love to dad Mark Gil

MANILA, Philippines– Actors Gabby Eigenmann, Andi Eigenmann, and Maxene Eigenmann penned their heartfelt messages to their father, the late Mark Gil, through their social media accounts.

Gabby Eigenmann, who stars in the GMA Afternoon Drama “Dading” posted a picture with his dad with the caption:

“..And so you held my hand in yours, just like you did when I was young . But then you held it to your heart just as you slowly slipped away. Today I said goodbye to you Dad. I said the last I love you that you would hear. Fly free with the Lord, fly free without pain. No worries, no problems, just love. Thank you for everything you have done for me and the family. Thank you for the legacy you have left behind. You will be forever in our hearts, till we meet again..”

Andi Eigenmann posted a picture with her father in her Facebook account. She captioned the photo by saying: “The ever supportive dad who stood up with her daughter on one of the biggest trials of her life, RIP Sir Mark Gil, a great and loving father, a man of honor, a brilliant actor of Philippine Showbiz, you will be missed.”

Maxene Eigenmann also posted a picture of her father taken during the 1982 Cannes Film Festival. She wrote, “I love you, Daddy!”

The movie Batch ’81, where Mark Gil played the role “Sid Lucero”, was shown  during the Directors’ Fortnight at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival.

Gil died Monday morning due to liver cirrhosis. He was 52 years old.
