‘Maximo’ in BFI top gay films list

AS GAY teener “Maximo Oliveros,” he won Best Actor in Spain.

Kanakan Balintagos’ “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” is in the list dubbed “10 Great Gay Films from East and Southeast Asia,” drafted by the British Film Institute. The Cinemalaya 2005 film is in the same list as Wong Kar-wai’s “Happy Together,” Chen Kaige’s “Farewell My Concubine,” Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s “Tropical Malady,” among others.
