We’re so glad that Sharon Cuneta has acknowledged the constricting corner she’s painted herself into of late, and has decided to finally get her personal and professional act together again.
Yes, going through a so-called “midlife crisis” can derail us for a spell, but we’ve all got to bounce back and get our prospects going again—especially big stars like Sharon, who can still set a great example for so many people, and have many great performances left to share.
These past months, we’ve turned Sharon off by nagging her so much in this regard, but we felt we had to, because she still has so much more to contribute to the entertainment industry—as her memorable portrayal in “Crying Ladies” proved, much too long ago.
She should really get back to “fighting” trim and tackle new challenges because she’s still got what it takes to delight and surprise us all—and herself, too!
We hope to see the “new and renewed” (and slimmer) Sharon make her big comeback before the current show biz year is over—for sure!
Aside from the Megastar, other show biz players who’ve (sometimes painfully) learned their lessons this year include Paolo Bediones, who like other “caught in the act” performers before him has belatedly realized the importance of not sharing everything with the Peeping Tom public by way of illicitly released sex tapes!
‘May-November’ relationship
As for Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, her “learning moment” has come in the flurry of negative reactions to her too forthright declaration that she’s now into a “May-November” romantic relationship.
Nothing wrong with that if the parties involved are footloose and fancy-free, but Mommy D and her younger beau made the mistake of too candidly answering intrusively gimlet-eyed queries about their romantic trysts. —Let’s hope that they keep their frisky frolics private from here on in.
As for Mommy D’s son, Manny Pacquiao, he ticked some people off recently with his smug declaration that he shouldn’t be limited to just notching up more triumphs in the ring, because he’s capable of succeeding at many more endeavors—in fact, at practically anything his heroic heart desires!
Contrary commentators would just like to point out that this hasn’t necessarily been the case, and wish that he would pay more attention to his duties as a legislator.
In addition, he’s turned out to be only a so-so-singer and a rather awkward TV program host—so, eating a little humble pie might do him a lot of good!
