Major company rejects perky star

Industry Veteran was shocked by the temerity of Perky Celebrity’s team. PC’s handlers sought a meeting with IV and other representatives of Major Company. According to a source, the handlers volunteered PC as endorser for MC.

The firm’s officers gave PC the thumbs down, saying the celeb was much too young to be associated with their products.

Days later, PC went on a publicity blitz, brazenly contradicting MC’s view. Obviously, the handlers wanted MC to realize that PC was mature enough.

(That bad, huh?)

The gimmick backfired and MC execs were turned off big time. They’ll never look PC’s way again. Ever.

Uh-oh.

Lukewarm

With the changes in Top Studio, there is talk that Famous Star will not return anytime soon.

TS’ Controversial Honcho is not interested in working with FS. Asked about the prospect of going back to the daily grind, FS simply shrugged.

Is there more to FS’ lukewarm response than meets the eye? FS is not keen on suffering the arduous working conditions that plague the entire industry, including TS.

CH is not a fan of Popular Star, either. Well, the feeling is mutual. PS thinks TS is one hot mess. Strike two.

Next move

After a string of setbacks, Big Star and Gorgeous Partner are curiously mum about their next move.

BS’ career is in limbo after leaving Troubled Enterprise. GP was left hanging after Doomed Venture kicked the bucket.

What’s next? BS has been spotted meeting with Temperamental Exec. Are they cooking up something?

Is BS’ contemplating a return to TE’s fiefdom? Abangan.

Versatile

Who knew that Scintillating Newbie was so versatile? As in, SN swings both ways.

Is this why SN is doing well in Present Firm, which is notorious for casting couches that come in all shapes, sizes and colors?

SN has a crush on Alluring Star, who is rumored to be bisexual, too. While AS proves unreachable, SN is entangled in a clandestine affair with a production staffer.

Deprived

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Bubbly Starlet is in a quandary. BS surrenders all her earnings to Stingy Parent. She is not allowed to buy the designer clothes, shoes and bags that she desires.

Instead, SP forces BS to endorse cheap items for the freebies. SP got all the stuff in BS’ closet from various ex deals.

BS feels deprived, and is envious of her pals who show off expensive luxury items.

BS can’t wait till she’s old enough to splurge. Perhaps that’s precisely why SP is so strict with the moolah.

News anchor in rehab

ELIZABETH Vargas is back in rehab. AP

LOS ANGELES—ABC News reporter Elizabeth Vargas has returned to a recovery center to be treated for alcohol dependency.

The “20/20” co-anchor said in an e-mailed statement that she checked into the facility this weekend.

“I feel I have let myself, my co-workers and most importantly my family down and for that I am ashamed and sorry,” Vargas, 51, said. She spent several weeks in a facility last fall.

Vargas is married to Marc Cohn and has two children with the singer-songwriter.

The network said in a statement that it stands “squarely” behind her, adding, “We look forward to having her back when she’s ready to return.” AP

Vice Ganda admits that he once thought Enchong was gay: “Pinagdudahan ko rin… may lambot kumilos. Pero ’di naman lahat ng effeminate ay bakla. At ’di rin naman lahat ng matigas kumilos ay totoong lalake.” (Korek ka diyan.)

Vice Ganda on his bashers: “’Yang bashing nakaka-inutil ’yan dahil ’di mo ginagamit nang mabuti ’yung oras na binigay sa’yo.” (Korek ka uli!)
