MANILA, Philippines – Actors Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong are asking for prayers for their son who was reported initially to be suffering from cancer, according to a report by a friend of the couple Thursday.
Ali Sotto, who had said in her radio program that De Leon’s son, Miguel, was seriously ill with testicular cancer and confined at an undisclosed Intensive Care Unit of an undisclosed hospital, called the Philippine Daily Inquirer later in the day to say that Andolong called her to clarify that a lump was found and that the doctors have yet to make a definite prognosis.
Sotto had also said in the same program that De Leon’s family was requesting for prayers for Miguel’s immediate recovery and would appreciate well wishes for their son.
Testicular cancer stems from a tumor that develops in the testicles, a part of the male reproductive organ.
Testicular cancer is clinically rare and can cause dead sperms or no sperm, thus the patient experiences infertility.
