Dr. Mary Lou Lacson Arcelo is the chair of the Board of Trustees and President Emeritus of the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) in Iloilo City.

For over 30 years, she has led the institution with her passion for excellence, foresight, sincerity, decisiveness and courage in steering the university, the country’s leading maritime educational institution.
At the Edsa Shangri-La recently, the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ) awarded Dr. Arcelo the Juran Medal for her significant contributions in the field of quality management.
