Andi Eigenmann happy to move out of mom’s place

SHE’S endorsing the new apparel line Black Sheep. She says it’s a “cool” brand name.

“I don’t have to, but I want to,” said Andi Eigenmann of her impending move from the house of her mother, awarded actress Jaclyn Jose.

“I’m 24. I should be independent, for my daughter,” said the young mom of 2-year-old Adrianna Gabrielle, or “Ellie.”

Jaclyn revealed in previous interviews that she wasn’t on good terms with Andi, her child with estranged partner Mark Gil. Jaclyn agreed to give Andi space, saying, “She’s smart so I’m letting her do things on her own.” She would stop meddling with Andi’s love life, Jaclyn said, and just mind Ellie.

Andi is rumored to be the girlfriend of Jake Ejercito, son of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with former actress Laarni Enriquez.

The move had nothing to do with her mom, Andi said, adding that Jaclyn was “excited” to help. “We’re both interested in interior design and looking forward to decorating my living room and kitchen.”

She and Ellie would be living in a condominium unit, “Not to stay away from mom,” Andi stressed. “We hardly see each other, as it is, since she herself has a new place in Laguna. I’m pretty sure they’ll be visiting me and Ellie all the time.” Andi has a younger half-brother named Gwen.

Perfect time

This is the best time for the transfer, Andi said. Her fantasy-drama series “Dyesebel” just ended and she’d like to take a breather. “I’ll spend more time with Ellie, maybe travel—which I love. I’ve been working since I gave birth.”

While on vacation she intends to learn all she can about Asia. “I’ve not visited many places in the region. Next time, I may venture farther out,” Andi said on Tuesday, during her  launch as endorser of the new clothing line, Black Sheep.

She has been branded that— “black sheep”—many times in the past. “I don’t take offense,”  Andi said. “I’m glad that people notice I am different. I didn’t join this industry to be like everyone else.”

It’s a “cool” brand name, she noted. “It’s about fearlessness.”

Fearless is something she has become as mom to Ellie. “I have someone with me all the time now—my own little doll, but also the source of my motivation.”

Ellie reminds her “so much” of herself as a kid, said Andi. “Just like me, Ellie is very unique, an oddball. But she’s not shy at all, that’s the difference. She’s a lot friendlier than I was at her age. She’s an extrovert. She likes coming to work with me. The kids on ‘Dyesebel’ have all become her friends.”
