Lav Diaz in Locarno

Lav Diaz’s five-hour epic “Mula sa Kung Ano ang Noon (From What Is Before)” will vie for the Golden Leopard award in the International Competition section of the 67th Locarno (Switzerland) International Film Festival, set Aug. 6 to 16.

Diaz’s film competes with films from Portugal, Argentina, Russia, South Korea, Brazil, United States, among other countries. Bayani San Diego Jr.
