‘Saving Private Ryan’ actor arrested in LA
LOS ANGELES—Troubled actor Tom Sizemore, who starred in hit films “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down,” was arrested in Los Angeles early Tuesday in his latest brush with the law, police said.
Sizemore, who was jailed in 2007 after violating the terms of a suspended sentence, was arrested in the early hours under a warrant issued when he failed to turn up for a court appearance in August.
After spending the night in custody the 49-year-old was released on $26,000 bail, according to jail records.
A Los Angeles police spokesman said Sizemore was arrested in a drug-related investigation. No further details were available, but Sizemore told the TMZ celebrity news website that it was a mix-up related to a 2009 battery arrest.
Sizemore, whose other credits include “Natural Born Killers” and “True Romance,” has had several brushes with the law in recent years.
