GERONIMO. Sees herself in “The Voice’s” young contestants.

Sarah Geronimo loves the song, “All of Me,” because it teaches us to love ourselves first. She explains, “Trust and love should not be given freely. Honesty and loyalty are traits that I value the most.”

The singer-actress topbills the movie, “Maybe This Time,” and coaches the young contestants of “The Voice—Kids.” She shares, “I needed to be on my toes during the shooting, because Coco Martin, my leading man, is a good actor. As for ‘The Voice,’ I see myself in its young contestants. What helps me coach them well is the fact that I went through everything they’re going through.”

She says she feels a little intimidated by Lea Salonga and Bamboo: “Lea is a mother, so she knows the right words to say to the kids. On the other hand, Bamboo is into music, so he knows what to look for. I just say what’s in my heart, because I don’t want to pretend. With kids, I’m more careful about what I say, although they’re more open to criticism.”
