‘Alchemy That Works’

CENTER’S organizers and lecturers investigate and illuminate the Filipino psyche.

The Carl Jung Circle Center is conducting a series of lectures about the Filipino psyche entitled “Alchemy That Works” at Club Filipino in Greenhills on July 10-11.  The first day of the series  explores topics like “Adventures in Depth Psychology,” “What happens when life changes?” and “Understanding the Man and Woman in You,” with speakers, Dido Gustilo-Villasor, Sophie Sim-Bate, Bernie Nepomuceno, Joji Racelis, Maureen Sandejas and Rene Samaniego.

The second day highlights the archetypes of the Filipino psyche with speakers, Sandy Ebrada, Fe Mangahas, Jose Alain Austria, Art Valdez and Rose Yenko. The lectures will both be a learning experience and a visual feast.

The following day, there will be demonstrations of arnis (our indigenous martial arts), the Pangalay (a pre-Hispanic dance of healing) and a talk about the instrumentation of the Pinoy psyche. There will also be an art gallery and a  Centering Garden.
