Shalani dreams of ‘Mamma Mia’-inspired wedding

/ 09:47 PM September 20, 2011

Just when everyone thought Shalani Soledad and Willie Revillame would end up together, news broke that the charming councilor is now engaged to Rep. Roman Romulo. My good friend Mons Romulo’s FB status reads: “Welcome to the family, Shalani”— which only goes to show that Shalani is “in na in” with her future in-laws.

She’s tightlipped about wedding preparations. “We are still organizing,” says the blooming bride-to-be. “But my dream wedding would be something like the one in the movie ‘Mamma Mia.’ Not in Greece. I want to get married here in the Philippines.”

Will she leave “Wil Time Bigtime” when she gets hitched? “Nope. I love the show,” she says. “Willie understands my decision to marry. And Roman is so supportive of what I do as a legislator and as a TV host.”

Will they invite her ex, P-Noy, or make him a part of their entourage? Hmmm… quite a tricky matter when your previous love happens to be the President. She won’t say yes or no, but we’ll see.

Congrats, Shalani and Roman! May you master the politics of love and marriage!

Returning Kapamilya?

Marvin Agustin is mum about talks that he may return to ABS-CBN, now that his contract with GMA Artist Center has expired. He has been very visible in Kapamilya network shows lately, like “ASAP Rocks” and “Kris TV.”

He just flashed a boyish grin when I asked him about it. He would rather talk about his restaurant’s new branches—Sumosam in ABS-CBN, Abreeza Mall Davao and soon, in Ayala Mall Cebu.

Since he’s a restaurateur, is he partial to girls who know how to cook? “Kitchen bonding sweetens the relationship,” he said. “But I wouldn’t mind cooking for her. I have recipes to make her love me more.”

Marvs is also busy with his Futuretainment production team. He is excited about the Black Eyed Peas concert they are mounting on Oct. 25 at the SM Mall of Asia open grounds (call 0939-901-9836). “Apl.de.ap is so humble even if he’s an icon,” says Marvin. “That’s why I support his advocacy on education.”

His fave BEP song is “I Gotta Feeling.” Marvs has a feel of what Pinoys want, in the resto or on the concert scene.
