Gwendolyn Ruais named Miss World-Philippines
MANILA, Philippines—Gwendolyn Ruais bested 24 other candidates in the first Miss World-Philippines beauty pageant late night Sunday at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
She will be representing the Philippines in the Miss World competition in London on November 6.
Ruais’ runners up were Helen Nicolette Henson (first princess), Martha Chloe McCully (second princess), Ma. Paula Bianca Paz (third princess), and Jaysel Arrozal (fourth princess).
The coronation night, aired over GMA-7, was hosted by celebrities Dingdong Dantes, Carla Abellana and Isabelle Daza.
