Sandara Park sets Filipino netizens on fire
MANILA, Philippines — Korean pop idol Sandara Park is back. And she hasn’t budged from the country’s trending topics on Twitter since she arrived in Manila more than 24 hours ago.
Among the top keywords associated with the singer were #WelcomeHomeDara, We Love Sandara Park, and Pambansang Krung Krung.
“Hello Philippines!!! Mabuhay!!! I’m back!!!” Park posted on Twitter.
Before becoming a member of one of the most popular Korean groups in the world, Park carved a career in the Philippines after joining ABS-CBN’s talent search program Star Circle Quest.
She received the nickname “krung krung,” a Filipino term for being crazy, because of her sometimes weird but funny behavior.

Article continues after this advertisementPark, who is in the country for her girl group 2NE1’s “All or Nothing” tour, has been guesting in local programs, at the same time touching base with her friends in the Philippine entertainment industry.
In between events, she tweeted her thanks to local television hosts like Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda.
“Sobrang saya ko ngayon. So happy to see my old friends again sa playground ko (I’m so happy right now. So happy to see my old friends again in my playground),” she said, referring to ABS-CBN.
Park will soon be joined by Lee Chae-rin (CL), Gong Minji (Minzy) and Park Bom (Bom) for their All or Nothing concert on May 17, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
