PH film council signs archiving pact with French counterpart
A cooperation pact that prioritizes film preservation will be signed during the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in France this month, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) announced in a statement. FDCP chair Briccio Santos will sign the agreement with Centre National du Cinema et de L’image Animee (CNC) president Frederique Bredin. The 67th Cannes fest is set on May 14 to 25. Established in 1945, CNC is an agency of the French Ministry of Culture. The FDCP statement explained: “Importance will be given to exchanges related to training, especially of experts and teachers, and the organization of specialized seminars and workshops.” Marinel R.
