The digitally restored classic, Lino Brocka’s “Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag,” won Best Archive Restoration at the Focal International Awards. The award was sponsored by Fiaf or the International Federation of Film Archives. The restoration was a project of the World Cinema Foundation, producer-cinematographer Mike de Leon and the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Bayani San Diego Jr.
