MANILA, Philippines – The premiere of “Pinoy Big Brother All In” (PBB All In) on Sunday apparently failed to please some of the show’s fans, with some netizens claiming the reality show was scripted.

Their clamor against the show caused the hashtag #PBBScripted to trend on Twitter from Sunday until Monday night.

The netizens’ reactions stemmed from their observation that some of the housemates who made it into the reality show were well-off or have links to famous personalities. The show used to feature the ordinary Filipinos who wanted to have a shot to fame.

Toni Gonzaga, the host, said during the kick-off that the show would feature three kinds of Filipinos – the ordinary, famous, and youth.

According to a Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP)report, the following housemates with links to celebrities and famous personalities are:

The surprise housemate was the show’s host Toni Gonzaga’s sister Alex, who was hosting PBB’s kick-off event but was announced to be among PBB’s contenders. “Kuya,” the iconic Big Brother in the show, said he wants Alex to experience being a housemate first to be an effective PBB host.

Netizens also noted that the rest of the housemates were all good-looking, resulting in a separate trend #PBBBawalAngPangitEdition and #PBBFamousEdition.

The other housemates are: Cess Visitacion, Chevin Cecilio, Aina Solano, Joshua Garcia, Jayme Jalandoni, Manolo Pedrosa, Maris Racal, Ranty Portento, Michelle Gumabao, Jacob Benedicto, Loisa Andalio, and Vickie Rushton.
