Historical or hysterical visit

JANICE de Belen would ask the US president if she could live there.

US President Barack Obama’s two-day visit is either a historical or a hysterical event, depending on which side of the fence you are on. I would rather leave the politics to opinion columnists. But to mark the leader of the free world’s trip here, I cornered some celebs and asked what they would ask Obama.

Amid all the fanfare and protests, I will opt to keep things light and ask how he and his fab wife, Michelle, keep the fire burning in their marriage. I’d also ask if he’d do a Bill Clinton, should a Monica Lewinsky come his way.

Hopefully, his visit will be fruitful sans the sour grapes. May we be able to show Obama that it is indeed more fun in the Philippines even if we are in need of more funds.

Everyone he’d talk to would probably be too serious. He has the hardest job on the planet! I’m sure he could use a good laugh so I’d just ask if my kids and I could join him in the US. Yehey!

SUZI Entrata-Abrera would ask about President Obama’s dream job.

Derek Ramsay

As the leader of the free world, what is the one issue that keeps him up at night? And what’s his solution for it?

Suzi Entrata-Abrera

I’d ask what he sees himself doing after his  presidency. Also, income notwithstanding, what is his dream job?

JOHN Estrada wonders if he is a Michael Jordan or Lebron James fan.

John Estrada

I have a lot of questions for him: Who do you think will be the next US president? What do you think really happened to the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370? What’s your stand on the Augusta National Golf Club’s ban on black golfers? Who do you think is the best basketball player in the world—Michael Jordan or Lebron James?

John Arcilla

Do you feel that America is still the most powerful country in the world? Can you make China abide by the international territorial law? Can a powerful country like yours stop waging war on nations and implement peace and order instead? Do you consider disputes or misunderstandings human weakness rather than human progress?

Yasmien Kurdi

YASMIEN Kurdi believes knowing how he copes with pressure would help her as well.

I would ask how he takes care of his family in spite of his busy schedule. Also how he handles criticisms especially when it affects his family. As a public figure, I would benefit from his answers on how to live with intrigues.
