Indie Showcase: Turbo Goth

It is high time the spotlight be focused also on our indie bands and acts. They form a deepwell of diverse and amazing talents in the local scene. I will be showcasing once in a while an indie band or act that to my mind deserves a look and more attention. So below, let’s get to know Turbo Goth:

What is the origin of your band ? Please give a brief history on how you came together to form your band.

 

PAOLO PERALTA: TURBO GOTH was formed back in 2008 when I started to experiment with drum machines and synths. I also got together with Sarah at around that time and asked her if she would be willing to turn my music into songs and she saidyes.

What are the band’s musical influences ?

 

PAOLO PERALTA: We are highly influenced by anything fun, loud and beautiful melodies.

Can you describe your style of music to the unfamiliar ?

PAOLO PERALTA: TURBO GOTH’s music is Sexy Rock.

What do you think of the current local scene ?

 

PAOLO PERALTA: The current local scene is active and there are a lot of new and exciting acts that everybody should check out.
