MANILA, Philippines—After one of its broadcasters got involved in the ever-developing Priority Development Assistance Fund scam, TV5 would now investigate the matter though they stand by their employee’s denial.
According to a Philippine Daily INQUIRER report, Erwin Tulfo received payoffs disguised as “advertising expenses” that were coursed through the state-owned National Agribusiness Corporation.
Tulfo has since denied his involvement but his network, in a statement, vowed that they would look into the matter.
“TV5 stands by the statement of Mr. Tulfo, but will conduct its own internal inquiry into the matter,” the statement said.
