Italy’s ‘The Great Beauty’ wins best foreign film Oscar

HOLLYWOOD – Italy’s “The Great Beauty” (“La Grande Bellezza”) won the best foreign language film Oscar at the 86th Academy Awards on Sunday.

The film by director Paolo Sorrentino beat Belgium’s “The Broken Circle Breakdown,” Denmark’s “The Hunt,” Cambodia’s “The Missing Picture” and “Omar” from Palestine.
