Rave for ‘Mabuti’ in France

NORA Aunor in “Mabuti”

Mes de Guzman’s “Ang Kwento ni Mabuti” received a rave review from the French website Cine Alliance, which gave the Filipino film five stars. The review singled out the performance of lead actor Nora Aunor:  “Convincing … [she] knows how to share her emotions with brio.” The review also commended De Guzman:  “[He] captivates … plays with our feelings … with great art.” “Mabuti” was recently shown at the Vesoul (France) International Film Festival for Asian Cinema.
