Jolens now a mommy
DADDY Mark and Mommy Jolina’s family is completed by Baby Pele.
Jolina Magdangal was the ultimate teenybopper-role model during her younger days. Jolens, as she is called by her fans, set fashion trends and was the spokesperson for numerous youth projects.
Being a show biz chronicler for many years now, I can’t help feeling old upon hearing that Jolens is now a mommy.
I recall those days when her father, Jun Magdangal, watched over her like a hawk at the height of her love team with Marvin Agustin.
Jolina gave birth to a 6.8-pound baby boy, Pele Iñigo last Feb. 18.
Jolens and her husband, musician Mark Escueta, are all set for this new chapter in their
family life.
Congrats to the brand-new parents.
May Pele grow up with Jolens’ panache and Mark’s coolness. He will be the best combination of his mom and dad in equal parts.
Jolens shares her post-partum thoughts with the Inquirer:
What excites you most about motherhood?
It’s exciting because we are now a complete family. I welcome this new stage that lots of women dream of. Knowing that Mark will be there to support me in raising our child gives me joy.
What scares you most about motherhood?
I have this fear that I might not be able to do everything for my baby. But in my heart, I know that there’s absolutely nothing I won’t do for the love of Pele.
How will you raise your kid?
I want to raise him with the values that Mark and I learned from our parents. To be kind, respectful, family-oriented and God-fearing.
Will you and Mark allow Pele to follow in your footsteps?
Being an actor is a calling and being a musician is a gift. If he will have those two … then why not? Whatever he wants and wherever he excels, we will support him. Even if he chooses a different field from ours, as long as he is happy, then that’s okay with us.
How has Baby Pele changed you and Mark?
Now we’ve realized that it’s true what they say that marriage and parenthood are life-changing events. With Pele, we can now really call ourselves a family. We know it won’t be easy but we will embrace all the challenges that will come our way. No matter what happens, Mark and I will stand by our vow to be magkakampi habang buhay.
