Pampanga, Philippines—The cold weather couldn’t stop the half-naked duo of frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary of Red Hot Chili Peppers as they rock-and-rolled their way for thousands of fans that gathered at the Global Gateway Logistics City in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, late Saturday night.
“Many people, many hearts,” Flea said on the other side of the stage while Kiedis was running around.
“Thank you to all the other bands, especially to our fellow Angelino Kendrick Lamar,” said Flea. Lamar was one of the performers in the music festival.
In between songs, Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer would jam before they break into another single.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee began the night with the fast and pulsating “Can’t Stop” and ended their first set with “By the Way.”
Smith would usher in their encore, as the crowd demanded, and Flea followed suit coming back to the stage with a handstand.
The rock quartet performed hit singles like “Snow,” “Otherside,” “Soul to Squeeze,” “Dani California,” and “Californication.”
“Thank you all, hope to see you again,” Kiedis said as they bid their final farewell.
But after the massive crowd of thousands screamed “We want more,” rock icons Red Hot Chili Peppers responded and capped the 7107 International Music Festival with their hit single “Give It Away.”
