Shalani Soledad given a diamond ring by Pasig representative

MANILA, Philippines—Pasig Representative Roman Romulo gave Valenzuela councilor and television show host Shalani Soledad a diamond ring, according to a sister of the congressman.

In an interview Wednesday,  Agriculture assistant secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat, sister of Rep. Romulo,  confirmed reports that her brother had given the popular and well-liked councillor a diamond ring but added she was not yet sure if the ring was an engagement ring.

Soledad was already introduced to their family in a dinner two weeks ago and that their parents liked Soledad for their son, Ms Puyat  said.

Puyat said that her brother was serious in courting Soledad who was formerly the girlfriend of President Benigno Aquino III.

Puyat also confirmed that Romulo and Soledad have been dating and that her brother usually fetches Soledad from her taping in Novaliches. With Danica Hermogenes
