“The King and the Diva: Beyond Classic”

Kuh Ledesma and Leo Valdez; Feb. 14, 8 p.m., Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay City; call 8919999

What’s the most memorable romantic thing you’ve done for anyone?

Christian: We took a motorcycle ride in the countryside, spent an afternoon on the beach, had dinner on a cliff. It was a perfect day.

Kuh: I had dog tags made by a jeweler. For me, that’s going out of my way, saving up for something that would last.

What makes you swoon?

Christian: Just hearing the three little words: “I love you.”

Kuh: Flowers always get me. It’s the sweetest and most romantic thing a guy can give to a girl he loves, especially on Valentine’s Day. Sana every day ganyan.

If you could go on a date with any famous personality, who would it be?

Christian: Natalie Portman!

Kuh: I don’t have too many crushes, but Clive Owen in the movie “King Arthur”… oh my  gulay! I’d love to go on a date with him. Of course, I’d prepare a candlelit dinner at Hacienda Isabella.

What is the best love song ever written?

Christian: “Amazing Grace.”

Kuh: “You and I,” originally by Stevie Wonder. The lyrics are just exactly how I feel for my special someone: “God has made us fall in love, it’s true/I really found someone like you…”

What can we look forward to in your show?

Christian: It feels good to be part of the Valentine’s Day celebration of Filipinos once again.  It’s going to be a night of intimate and romantic music.

KUH LEDESMA had dog tags made for her special someone.

Kuh: My show will be special and unique because of its concept. Lovers will have a treat listening to some of the most romantic duets. There will be some funny segments as well. I’m excited because this is the first time I’m doing a concert with the  great Leo Valdez.
