Tado’s remains in Marikina for wake

MANILA, Philippines – The wake for comedian Arvin “Tado” Jimenez, one of the 14 people killed in the Friday bus crash in Bontoc, Mt. Province, will be held in Marikina starting Sunday.

Ogie Diaz, who served as Jimenez’s talent manager, relayed the news of the wake, which will be held at the Paket Santiago Funeral Homes at V. Gomez corner E. Dela Paz, San Roque, Marikina from Feb. 9 to 11.

Public viewing will start 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Fellow comedian and filmmaker Jun Sabayton said over Twitter that family members of Jimenez asked media to respect their privacy as they mourned their loss.

Jimenez became popular when he co-hosted the now defunct comedy show “Strangebrew” on UNTV. He went on to appear in other television programs and even wrote a couple of books including “Bio-Eulogy ni Tado Jimenez” published in 2012, which serves as both biography and eulogy for the actor.
