On Sept. 21, 1922, Dr. Ramon Reynoso Sr., then governor of Marinduque, established the Malindig Institute Foundation Inc. in response to the growing demand for quality education for cash-strapped students.
The death of its founder and the devastation wrought by natural calamities dealt a severe blow to the institution, until it availed of the government’s subsidy programs for private schools in the ’90s.
