DOJ to issue lookout order on Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo

MANILA, Philippines–The Department of Justice (DoJ) will issue a Lookout Bulletin Order against businessman Cedric Lee and Deniece Millet Cornejo who are both slapped with a criminal complaint for the mauling of actor/TV host Vhong Navarro.

The two is reportedly set to leave the country for Singapore on Feb. 6.

“Just waiting for a formal request from either NBI or Vhong Navarro’s camp,” Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said, in a text message to reporters.

Through an LBO, immigration officers on all ports of exit in the country were ordered to be on alert for the possible flight of subject individuals. However, they cannot stop the subject from leaving the country if he/she has no pending warrant of arrest or pending case before the courts.

Meanwhile, NBI Director Vicente Mendez said they are already preparing their request to Lee, Cornejo and the other respondents in an LBO. Tetch Torres-Tupas
