Jodi backs up hubby

/ 08:17 PM March 09, 2011

ACTRESS JODI Sta. Maria had been tight-lipped about the state of her marriage to Pampi Lacson, son of Senator Panfilo Lacson, for the longest time. When she visited the Inquirer recently for a screening of her indie film, Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Chassis,” she was cordial but guarded.

Last Sunday, Pampi confirmed on nationwide TV that they were separated, but denied rumors that he had abused her. On Tuesday, Jodi told radio anchor Jobert Sucaldito that she and Pampi broke up seven months ago, but that she still lived in the conjugal home in Parañaque, with their son, Thirdy, 5. She backed up Pampi’s denial of abuse.

Curiously, (ABS-CBN’s) Star Magic, Jodi’s management company, issued this somewhat out of sync statement on Tuesday: “We respect Jodi’s decision not to comment on her [marriage]. We hope that the public understands, as Jodi and Pampi care for the welfare of their son.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
