Former fashion designer and columnist Rikki A. Jimenez keeps his ties to the movie industry, helping filmmaker friends anyway he can. For instance, he provided director Mel Chionglo the basic idea for the Sineng Pambansa movie “Lauriana.” The film, which centers on a woman in a small village in Quezon province, is loosely based on the life of a real person Jimenez knew. He also discovered award-winning actress and current ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio. Jimenez is now based in Lucena City, where he is busy with the various activities of his Rikki J. and Friends Foundation, Inc. With the help of Harrison Plaza and Belco Marketing, Inc., RJFFI recently distributed gifts to residents of Purok Masagana, Barangay Cotta in Lucena.
