MANILA, Philippines—Angel Locsin consistently admits she has opened her doors to former flame Luis Manzano.
“Hindi po ako ipokrito. Honest lang po ako. Hindi ko po ugali pigilan ang emosyon ko (I’m not a hypocrite. I am just being honest. It’s not my nature to suppress my emotion,” she said in successive radio and TV interviews on Wednesday night.
She said she had a series of encounters with Manzano, which started on New Year’s Eve when he reportedly visited her in her house.
“We talked a lot about the differences we had. But I’m not saying we’re a couple already. There are still some things to be settled,” she explained in Filipino.
She earlier admitted her love for Manzano has always been there despite the years they were not communicating.
In the past couple of years, Locsin was exclusively dating football player Phil Younghusband while Manzano was involved with actress Jennylyn Mercado.
Also early Wednesday, she said Manzano visited her in her dressing room before she guested in the showbiz-oriented radio talk show hosted by Jobert Sucaldito and later, in Boy Abunda’s segment in ABS-CBN’s “Bandila.”
“Feeling sya,” Locsin said, using a colloquial term for over-confidence.
Locsin is giving interviews to promote her upcoming soap opera titled “The Legal Wife” in her home network.
Meanwhile in a separate interview also on Wednesday, Younghusband told select members of the entertainment press that he still loves Locsin.
In social media, local showbiz followers are thrilled of the seemingly real-life soap opera between Locsin and Manzano.
Many said it was a refreshing topic from the surreal headlines in the past few days.
Locsin’s admission came a day after President Benigno Aquino III rejected the proposals of some sectors for him to have emergency powers to deal with the country’s energy problems while his sister, actress-TV host Kris, confessed she’s blessed because she’s not having sex.
