MANILA, Philippines – Star City visitors will get free admission to the colorful ballet “Tatlo Pang Kuwento ni Lola Basyang,” which returns to the Aliw Theater stage, whether they purchase entrance-only (P65), or Ride-All-You-Can tickets (P420).
Based on the Severino Reyes’ classic published by Anvil, Ballet Manila’s “Tatlo Pang Kuwento” runs for 90 minutes and features original Filipino music and choreography by artistic director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Gerardo Francisco, and Osias Barroso. Veteran TV/radio talent Luz Fernandez returns as Lola Basyang.
Remaining performances are on Sunday and Monday (6 p.m.), and Jan. 1 (4 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
Jessica Sanchez at Eastwood City
“American Idol: Season 11” runner-up Jessica Sanchez will lead the “Eastwood City New Year Countdown to 2014” on December 31 at the Eastwood Mall Open Park.
Other performers include Mitoy Yonting and Draybers, Up Dharma Down, South Border, DJ Ace Ramos and Bamboo. Event hosts are VJ Joyce Pring and Boys Night Out’s Sam YG. At 12 midnight, guests can watch the fireworks display.
