Boy Golden: Shoot-to-Kill
In this period action movie inspired by a true story, Estregan plays Arturo Porcuna alias “Boy Golden,” one of the most notorious gangsters in Manila in the early 1960s.
Presumed dead by many, Boy Golden one day returns to exact revenge on an old adversary from a rival gang.
Along the way, Boy Golden meets Marla Dee (Concepcion), a stunning but vindictive woman with exactly the same agenda. The two join forces and enter a world of gunfights and bloodshed.
Estregan is the third actor to play the role, following the late Lou Salvador Jr. and Rudy Fernandez in “Alyas Golden Boy” (1963) and “Isang Araw, Isang Buhay” (1979), respectively.
Fight scenes for “Boy Golden: Shoot-to-Kill” were directed by Thai stunt coordinator Kawee “Seng” Sirikanerat, whose body of work includes “The Beach,” “Ong Bak,” “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and the Cradle of Life” and “The Expendables 2.” Allan Policarpio
