NAVASERO. Inspired by his father’s legacy.
Hector Thomas Navasero is the new CEO of Philab Scientific, which dabbles in science, medicine, agriculture, education and sports. Tom trained for one and a half years before taking over the reins of the company founded in the early ’60s by his trailblazing father, Hector, who recently passed away.
Tom is a product of Cornell and Stanford Universities, while his wife, Jenny Litton, got her Master’s degree from Boston University. The couple has four children, Alexa, Ava, Allen and Ariana.
The legacy of his father is the 50-year-old executive’s inspiration. One project that excites him is the Genomic Institute of Asia, which he put up with brilliant Filipino scientists. The group has already sequenced the genomic reference of the so-called heirloom black rice.
Philab is also helping the country reach its goal of vaccine self-sufficiency, as well as build a state-of-the-art National Institute of Health. Tom shares, “We’re thrilled to create exciting changes in various fields that will benefit our people!”
Tom will be spending Christmas with Jenny, their children and Vella, the German Shepherd who travels with them everywhere they go. For them, there’s nothing better than enjoying the holiday season with loved ones!
