“Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy”
Directed by Wenn Deramas; stars Vice Ganda, Joey de Leon, Janice de Belen, Ruffa Gutierrez, Kristine Hermosa, Ejay Falcon, JC de Vera, Kiray Celis and
Xyriel Manabat
The film tells the story of quadruplets (all played by Vice Ganda) separated as infants. Two (Girl, Boy) were raised by their father (Marquez) in the United States; the other two (Bakla, Tomboy) stayed with their mom (De Belen). Conflict arises when the US-based siblings discover that “Boy” is afflicted with a liver disease and needs a transplant. They come home in search of their two other siblings in the hope that one could be a suitable donor. This leads to a series of hilarious events that may or may not unite them as family. “Nothing is more important than a united and happy family,” says Deramas. Marinel R. Cruz
