‘Metro Manila’ tops British indie awards

Sean Ellis’ “Metro Manila” was declared the surprise winner at the British Independent Film Awards, bagging three major honors: best British independent film, director and achievement in production. Filipino actors John Arcilla and Jake Macapagal (nominated for best supporting actor and most promising newcomer, respectively) attended the event held in London on Sunday night.
