What’s so funny?

DE CASTRO. Deserves more challenging projects.

Meanne Mijares, events planner: “Watching Pokwang say, ‘Are you the father? Are you the son? Are you the Holy Spirit?’ in the trailer of ‘Call Center Girl’ got my ire. I do not find it funny at all—in fact, it’s blasphemous!”

Other notes:

Denise Maling, student: “I wonder what’s keeping Glaiza de Castro from hitting the big time? She’s a looker, and she can also sing well. I watched her perform an original song on a noontime show as she accompanied herself on the guitar, and I was floored by her heartfelt, no-frills rendition.

“She should release a CD of her compositions. Her home network should give her more challenging projects.”

Armi Visenio, televiewer: “Whatever happened to the MTRCB’s investigation of news anchor Arnold Clavio’s rude interview with the lawyer of Janet Napoles?”

Gloria Llosa, housewife: “TV5’s ‘Aksyon’ newscast is a winner, because Cheryl Cosim is unlike other anchors who deliver the news like it’s the end of the world. She doesn’t resort to alarming vocal inflections.

“I hope her co-anchor, Erwin Tulfo, relaxes more—although, he’s better than his siblings with their annoying pa-macho posturing.

“The show’s field reporters are also commendable because they give a clear picture of what’s happening on the ground. Giving the newscast an earlier time slot was also a wise decision.”
