This beauty queen is smitten with her little prince
LITTLE Noah with happy parents Marco and Precious Lara
Precious Lara Quigaman and Marco Alcaraz were more excited than their adorable, one-year-old baby, Noah, during his dedication/birthday party last November 9.
The Noah’s Ark-themed party was held at Monochrome in
Nuvali (Sta. Rosa, Laguna). Pastor Luigi Tabuena officiated.
Among the godparents were Albert Martinez, Luis Alandy, Gerald Anderson and Jhong Hilario with directors Dom Zapata and Jojo Saguin, councilor Shalani Soledad, and beauty queens Karen Agustin and Denille Lou Valmonte.
The celebrity guests included Rayver Cruz, Carlene Aguilar, Arlene Muhlach, Valerie Concepcion, Ervic Vijandre, Emilio Garcia, Renz Fernandez,Charee Pineda, Joross Gamboa and Roman Romulo.
Hands-on
The fab couple saw to every detail of the party and even inflated the balloons themselves. Afterwards, Lara and Marco volunteered at a relief center, to repack goods for “Yolanda” survivors.
When do they plan to have a second baby?
“In God’s time,” Lara says “We want to enjoy Noah. Maybe when he turns three or four…”
How does she discipline Noah? “He’s a smart boy,” she beams. “A simple ‘no’ is enough.”
What’s the hardest, and what’s the best, thing about motherhood? “It’s tough worrying about my baby, especially when I’m away,” she says. “The best thing is when he smiles at me as though I’m his favorite person in the world.”
The Beauty Queen is so in love with her Little Prince. And the feeling is obviously mutual.
Single again
Alice Dixson returns to the silver screen in Andoy Ranay’s “When the Love is Gone” (opens Nov. 27). It’s based on Danny Zialcita’s “Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi” and marks Viva Films’ 32nd anniversary.
How does Alice know when love is gone? “Love is never gone unless it turns into resentment or hate,” she says. “Sometimes you love someone but you can’t live with him. Sometimes he moves on, or you realize it wasn’t really love, after all. If it’s true love, both parties will stick together, no matter what.”
ALICE Dixson’s heart is “recovering.”
She is recently separated. How is she moving on? “It’s a painful process,” she admits. “Every decision has repercussions; I have to anticipate and be ready to handle them. I should be heart- and head-strong.”
What’s the state of her heart? “It’s recovering,” she quips, “and still has beautiful dreams left.”
Just keep loving so all your dreams will have their day and your heart will be back in Wonderland, Alice.

What a delight to be a participant! It was tough narrowing down my play list to 15 fave OPM songs because there are just too many good choices.
It’s the perfect time to bring cheer to our Visayan “kababayan” after the Bohol quake and the supertyphoon.
As Noel Cabangon’s song, “Awit ng Bahaghari,” goes: “May pag-asang darating hatid ng ihip ng hangin. May pag-asang darating hatid ng bahaghari. Kasama mo ako sa mga paghamon mo. Kasama mo ako sa muling pagbangon mo.”

Kudos to ABS-CBN for bagging seven Philippine Quill Awards this year, making it the most awarded TV network in business communication.
The Quill is handed out by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines.
The Kapamilya network won two awards for its annual summit on prenatal health care (DZMM’s 11th Buntis Congress) and its digital mobile application that informed and empowered Filipino voters (Comelec Halalan App), two citations for its 2012 Christmas campaign, “Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko,” another award for its film archives’ restoration of Ishmael Bernal’s “Himala” and also for its 2012 Media Christmas Party, which gathered more than 200 members of the entertainment press and bloggers.
