Rebel on the rebound

Reality Hunk had a messy breakup with Former Sweetheart that led to a scandalous spectacle.

RH, whose bad boy image preceded him, tried to make amends with FS, who remained unconvinced and shut him out of her life forever.

John Lloyd Cruz reunites with former Star Magic guard Gualberto Isla Jr.

RH bounced back with a new girl. He should be extra cautious because his new love comes from a powerful family.

In short, her relatives suffer no fools and would have no trouble “getting rid” of him, should he hurt their precious princess.

Greedy gal

From the Radio Inquirer program “Kliq Showbiz” (dzIQ 990 AM, Monday to Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.):

Who knew Svelte Starlet could be a voracious eater? She lugs along several picnic baskets of various goodies to the set. Often, her Influential Boyfriend sends delectable treats as well.

However, SS is reluctant to share food with coworkers, according to a spy. Costars would invariably wait, in vain, as SS hogged the food. It’s a wonder how she stays almost reed-thin.

Nanay Baby of Isla Pulo gets a surprise visit from Kim Chiu.

Curious chaps

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Mole was shocked to discover that Dashing Heartthrob and Charming Costar had a recent encounter of the third kind.

Feeling a tad amorous that night, DH and CC sought the privacy of a parked van.

Only DH has been previously suspected of being gay. So are they both?

True stories

JANINE Gutierrez is being compared to “Lola” Guy.

ABS-CBN’s Christmas station ID, dubbed “Magkasama Tayo sa Kwento ng Pasko,” premieres tonight after “TV Patrol.” Behind the colors and images are true stories. Knowing them surely makes the viewing better. Here are a few:

Nanay Baby of Isla Pulo’s only Christmas wish was an autographed picture of Kim Chiu, the star who stayed in her humble home for an episode of the show “I Dare You” two years ago. She was awestruck Kim herself delivered the requested photo. She gave Kim a rosary as a gift.

Judy Ann Santos wanted to spend time with victims of violence, having portrayed an abused wife in her last teleserye, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala.” She got her wish, with the women of the Women’s Crisis Center, at the Our Lady of Victory chapel in Malabon. Juday served them merienda and treated them to basic Krav Maga (self-defense) lessons with her personal instructor.

Gualberto Isla Jr., a security guard at the Star Magic office in ABS-CBN, was relieved of his duties due to malignant melanoma, which affected his left eye. One rainy afternoon, an unexpected visitor turned up at his home in Rodriguez, Rizal: John Lloyd Cruz, for whom he used to open the door. Guard Isla’s family cracked up when the actor introduced himself as “Piolo Pascual.”

Gemma Solomon is an overseas Filipino worker who battled breast cancer. Though longing for the company and care of her family back in Bicol, she stayed in Hong Kong because of the medical benefits she enjoyed there. When Piolo Pascual heard of her story, he agreed to personally deliver to Gemma a video message from her children. She couldn’t believe it when the actor appeared before her eyes one recent Sunday morning.

The station ID song is performed by “The Voice of the Philippines”  coaches Sarah  Geronimo, Bamboo and Lea Salonga, with grand winner  Mitoy Yonting and finalists Klarisse de Guzman, Janice Javier and Myk Perez.
