LRI’s visual feast

FROM LEFT: Ongsiako, Ledesma, Juico, Daza, Jocson, Roque and Santos.

At the “Artmoves” exhibit, there were eight dynamic artists with different styles: Evie Roque and I worked on digital art portraiture (portraits digitized with layers of colors and textures that created color-filled imagery evoking Andy Warhol). Kuh ledesma’s works included images of a cello, a guitar and a violin.

My collaborations with Bobby Nuestro feature the beautiful sights of Batanes recreated in oil. Chef cum artist Monchot Ongsiako’s water-inspired images were painted from memory.

Paintings

Monchot’s images are seascapes, shipwrecks, images of Venice, the Mediterranean, scenic Rome, a crowded Tuscan church, London at sunset, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

The LRI Art Pavilion was the perfect setting for “Artmoves’” exciting visual feast, which also includes the paintings of Roland Santos, Vinson Yap, Jethro Jocson and Katrina Pallon. And our special guests, Mayen Juico, Jullie Yap-Daza and Tom Navasero, made the exhibit’s opening truly a night to remember!
