Druggie pals lead hunk astray

Promising Hunk has been missing in action. There is talk that he had to check into a drug rehab center. A former costar inadvertently confirmed this recently.

A source claims PH hit rock bottom after a tumultuous affair with Pretty Starlet went south. His mom didn’t approve of PS, no sir.

Someone close to PH, however, says fellow actors, Gifted Performers, led PH astray. Notorious users, GPs introduced PH to the ruinous habit. Well, GPs’ families are all rumored druggies.

Caught on video

Closeted Hunk is rumored to have an unsavory video in the pipeline. What, another one?!

Rushes mole who saw the vid swears CH is an energetic performer. Who knew, given his soft-spoken, almost dainty, public persona? As they say, silent waters run wild … er, deep.

Should the video be leaked online, would CH fess up? He has been raring to jump out of the closet for ages, but his parents are vehemently against that.

Bully’s past

Distressed Star is much-feared in the biz as a veritable fire-eating virago. Turns out, DS was once a put-upon wannabe. That’s right, like other tormented aspirants, this bully was bullied.

(While the camera was rolling, DS forgot kilometric lines of dialogue, much to the chagrin of Tyrannical Artist. Infuriated, TA hit DS on the head!)

So now, it seems DS doesn’t think twice about maltreating others in the same outrageous manner.

Carry that weight

Glamorous Beauty doesn’t trust the housemaid who does the marketing. GB has a supermarket scale at home that is used to make sure the fruits, veggies and meat products brought home weigh exactly as billed.

In short, GB is determined to avoid pantry pilferage. Perhaps she should work as a government auditor. In the meantime, she can’t hold on to the help.

• Venus Raj on Megan Young winning Miss World: “Matagal na namin siyang kino-convince! Sabi nga natin, if it’s God’s will and when it’s for you, it’s for you.”  (Ah, He was in the board of judges?)

• Lauren Young on her sister’s victory: “I asked her what it was like to be Miss World. She said, ‘I feel the same.’ It’s nice that she’s still herself in spite of something so big and life-changing. It shows how nice and humble she is.” (First of all, it’s more than “nice.” Second, give it a little time. Then she could say what it’s really like. Maybe, again, more than “the same.” Or “nice.”)

• Claudine Barretto on estranged husband Raymart Santiago daring her to take a drug test: “Ilang beses na kasi akong nagpapa-drug test to show Raymart. Kasi, for some reason, ’yun ang pinasok niya sa utak ko. Ako naman, I kept on proving and proving and proving.” (This is evasive on so many levels, huh?)

• Claudine on her row with Raymart: “Pagod na pagod na ako. Sana, tuwing magsasalita siya, naiisip niya na nasa akin ’yung mga anak namin. At habang salita siya nang salita ng masasakit … at napapanood ng mga anak ko, sana maisip niya ’yung pundasyon na kumakarga sa kanila.” (Eto pa isa. E di ’wag panoorin ang mga bagets! Kumakarga? Careful with that giveaway word.)

• Claudine insisting that what she’s been injecting herself with are skin enhancers: “I owe it to the public … I have to take care of my skin, [and] look good.” (Terrible requirement for stars, indeed! Are we to assume everybody in the biz does it? Terrible, terrible.)

• Her dad Miguel daring Raymart to take a drug test, too: “Kasi sa huling kita ko sa kanya sa TV, parang may tama…” (Hala, dad can tell.)

• Mitoy Yonting on detractors saying he didn’t deserve to win “The Voice of the Philippines”: “Ako ’yung taong marunong gumalang sa opinyon ng may opinyon … OK lang sa akin ’yun … respeto ko sa kanila ’yun … sana irespeto nila ang pagkapanalo ko.” (Para yatang galit. Paging Coach Lea … A mentor’s job is never done.)

• Jessy Mendiola, asked who has a better chance between her two suitors Jake Cuenca and Sam Milby: “I am not ready …  tuloy lang ang laban!” (Cold, don’t you think?)
