Child star wins best actress in Mexico

Filipino child star Sandy Talag won best actress at the recent Oaxaca International Film Festival, held in Mexico.
Talag plays a child prostitute in Jacco Groen’s “Lilet Never Happened,” a film from the Netherlands.
The fest’s website described Talag as “a dreamer, a rebel.”
Her Filipino costars include John Arcilla, Angeli Bayani, Timothy Mabalot and Marife Necesito. Bayani San Diego Jr.
